Description
Yohimbinum is an alkaloid allied to reserpine made from Rubiaceae and
Rauwolfia (L.) Benth, blocks central and peripheric presynaptic alpha-2
adrenoreceptors, widens peripheric vessels of the brain as reserpine
but much weaker and for the short time, increases parasympathetic tonus
but lowers sympathetic tonus and motility, increases sexual potency by
means of penis amplification as a result of the vessel distension,
blood inflow in the cavernous bodies.
